After thoughtful discussions during these last few weeks regarding the pandemic's impact on our world and what we could do to lower the probability of the spread of the coronavirus, we, the Executive Committee and the Transducer Research Foundation (TRF) have decided to cancel the Hilton Head 2020 Workshop.
For those of you that have registered and paid for the workshop, your payments will be refunded to the credit card that you used at the time of registration, shortly.
For our dedicated presenters, we are arranging for all the accepted papers
to be submitted to the Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems
as a "Special Proceeding" for this meeting, to be published this summer. Simultaneously, all the first authors will be encouraged to record their respective presentations to be posted on the TRF website for everyone to view and listen to afterward. Please look for more information about this as it comes available and we encourage authors to contribute to these options.
We hope that you are safe and healthy and remain so. We look forward to seeing you June 5 - 9, 2022 for the Hilton Head 2022 Workshop.

We, the Organizing Committee and the Workshop sponsor, Transducer Research Foundation (TRF), take all developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously and continue to closely monitor the situation. Currently, we are proceeding with our plans for the 2020 Workshop, May 31 - June 4 in South Carolina.
We also want to accommodate and address the limitations that our colleagues are facing around the world with regard to submitting their Late News Abstracts and extend the deadline to Thursday, April 2. Those who have already submitted will have the ability to resubmit, if they wish.

Hilton Head 2020: The Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Workshop is still scheduled to take place as planned from May 31 - June 4 in Hilton Head, South Carolina, SC.
Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the Transducer Research Foundation (TRF), the sponsor of the workshop, is taking every precaution to ensure the health of all event participants as their top priority. TRF and the Hilton Head 2020 organizing committee will continue to monitor the ongoing impact for our attendees and exhibitors and are consulting the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local/state public health authorities.
At this time, the only federal restriction applies to foreign nationals who have traveled to countries heavily affected by the outbreak within the past 14 days. With the situation evolving rapidly, we will update the event website and also encourage Hilton Head 2020 participants and exhibitors to consult these sources as they prepare for the event.
